We stayed at Poppy's Barn for a wonderful weekend getaway. The location was absolutely stunning, with beautiful views over the white peak area. The cottage itself was lovely and had everything we needed, including excellent wifi for our teenagers. We enjoyed playing board games as a family in the evenings, and the shared courtyard made for a friendly atmosphere with other families and their dogs. The owner was incredibly friendly and even gave us a bottle of milk upon arrival. The surrounding area offered plenty of walks, including Lathkill Dale, and there was convenient parking nearby. a fantastic stay!
Strongly recommend this hotel.

As a budget traveler, I was thrilled with the facilities at Poppy's Barn. the owner's warm hospitality and the thoughtful gesture of providing a bottle of milk upon arrival were greatly appreciated. the location was perfect, with plenty of scenic walks, such as Lathkill Dale, right on the doorstep. the proximity to Bakewell and a nearby car park made it convenient for exploring the area. the presence of board games and excellent WiFi ensured that my teenagers were entertained in the evenings, resulting in lots of laughter and quality family time.
Felt like a VIP, no reason to complain.

Convenient village location, nearby parking, breathtaking views. Excellent wifi for teenagers. Shared courtyard with friendly families and dogs. Spacious and well-equipped barn, especially the kitchen. Quiet and easily accessible to nearby attractions. Very welcoming owner, even provided milk upon arrival. Plenty of nearby walks and a charming pub nearby.

We really got great value for our money at Poppy's Barn. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, especially the well-equipped kitchen. The location was perfect, with stunning views of the countryside and easy access to nearby attractions. The staff, especially Tricia and her family, were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Menu for breakfast could have had more variety.
